RPI Live Cooking

EPIC 2026

RPI Live Cooking brings together design, functionality, and guest experience to create front-of-house cooking solutions that can become part of the overall space rather than simply added as standalone equipment. The concept is intended to support visible food preparation while giving designers options for integrating the station into different hospitality and foodservice environments.

The Design Challenge

Incorporating live cooking into front-of-house spaces involves more than selecting the cooking equipment. Available space, ventilation, electrical requirements, millwork, finishes, and operational needs all influence the design. Understanding these requirements early helps create a solution that works both visually and operationally.

The Live Cooking Platform

The platform can bring together different components, including induction, Hot & Chill, work modules, battery power, and Air Wall integration. Rather than approaching the station as a single fixed appliance, the concept provides a modular platform that can be configured around the equipment and functionality required for each project.

Designed Around the Space

The station can be developed with different finishes, configurations, and equipment arrangements to better coordinate with the surrounding architecture and millwork. Mobility and service accessibility are also considered as part of the design, allowing the equipment to remain functional and accessible without losing its connection to the overall aesthetic of the space.

One Table. Multiple Applications.

A single station can support different applications and service periods throughout the day, depending on the equipment selected. The same general platform can be used for cooking, holding, serving, preparation, or presentation, allowing the concept to be adapted to different menus, operations, and environments.
